The final concert of the festival features John Cage’s percussion works beginning with Double Music (1941), an early quartet which was a collaborative composition between John Cage and Lou Harrison, and Cage’s improvisatory solo work Child of Tree (1975) performed by Ron Coulter.   Members of The Percussion Art Ensemble and The Improvisation Unit perform Radio Music (1956), Quartet (1935), and Three2 (1991). To wrap up the program, The Chance Operations Collective of Kalamazoo presents Four6 (1992), a piece written in the last year of Cage’s life, and all three groups  join together for Branches (1976).
